Scott Wadsworth’s love of music can be attributed to his mother, pianist Lorraine Wadsworth. Growing up in rural Glide, Oregon, Scott became familiar with the sounds of Jazz and when he discovered the Jazz Minors, he was more than willing to make the hour drive to Eugene for rehearsals.

Scott played with the Jazz Minors through out high school and the 1977 tour but after the band was accepted to the Disneyland music staff Scott had a hard decision to make.

He was ready to settle down but he wanted to raise his future family outside of California. The 1978 Sacramento Jazz Jubilee was Scott’s last gig with the Jazz Minors. He proposed to Kelly that weekend and they were married the next December.

Scott has spent his subsequent career in construction, living in Powell, Wyoming
and Las Vegas, Nevada. He returned to Roseburg, Oregon and for the last 13 years has
owned a construction contracting business. His most recent passion is Artist
Blacksmithing and he is currently working on several architectural ironwork
commissions.

He has played with many casual bands over the years, but primarily kept
his chops in shape in his own living room.

Scott and Kelly have four adult children and two grandchildren, making him
the first Minor in history to have grandkids!
