Tim Cline caught the music bug young; he began studying piano at age six and trombone at age ten. He received his classical piano training from Constance Bittner and composition tutoring from her husband, Professor Francis Bittner of the University of

Oregon. At the tender age of thirteen, Tim represented Oregon in the Music Teacher National Association's Young Composer Contest, beating out several older competitors with an original composition for two pianos.

At 18, Tim led, arranged, and played piano for a five-piece band fronted by a vocalist. They spent the summer treading the waters of the Alaskan Passage aboard Princess Cruise's Sun Princess. Later that year, he was recruited by the Jazz Minors, replacing singer/pianist Lori Moritz.

Tim played both piano and trombone for the Jazz Minors over the band's tenure at Disneyland and enjoyed contributing an occasional arrangementfor both their live performances and recordings. After leaving Disneyland in the mid-eighties, Tim entered the insurance industry - first as a field underwriter, then as a producer, and eventually Vice President for a West Los Angeles insurance agency.

In 1998, he struck out on his own and today is President of his own brokerage in Santa Monica, which insures commercial properties throughout California. He and his partner live in Hermosa Beach, and are currently building a second home outside of Eugene where they hope to one day retire. Tim still dabbles in composition and, when he has more free time, hopes to complete a dozen original compositions for string quartet.
